When we found him in a coffee shop in Muscatine, Iowa, we knew that Jonah Terry would be the perfect addition to the Sculpt squad. An old soul, Jonah has brought youthful energy and man bun inspiration to our office. And some pretty kick-ass visual creations.

*Hides robotic arm*… No.

If you were a beauty product, what would you be?
Being a designer I would definitely be concealer. It’s my job to refine the rough edges of visual concepts and hide unwanted “blemishes.”

Tell us your feelings on the color orange:
My relationship with color is very messy and complicated. One day I will fall deeply in love with a color and the next day I will kick it to the curb. It takes on a very Kindergarten relationship dynamic where I love any color that brought animal crackers to lunch that day. Sculpt Orange on the other hand is a new but rapidly growing love and obsession.

After food, water, and shelter are accounted for, what is the minimum you think you need to be happy?
The only other thing I would need is a camera. There is a very rich narrative to be told about everyday life that can be told through photography. I want to catch those candid moments of people interacting and being connected and capture them.

Best piece of advice that you’ve ever been given?
“Watch Game of Thrones.” Truly, a life changing piece of advice.

Who would you most like and least like to be trapped in an elevator with?
Paul Rand: Trap me for days

What did you want to be when you grew up when you were 5?
Up until I was in middle school I always saw myself as an Astronaut or a Politician. Space has always fascinated me and I love any opportunity to incorporate it in my work. Politics were something I was always exposed to and I loved it. I remember being asked what my favorite tv show was in first grade and answering Meet the Press. I also think I went as John Kerry that year for Halloween.

What is your most treasured possession?

What is the quality you most admire in other people?
My favorite people are genuine people. I think with a genuine person comes a deeper relationship and connection. There isn’t any facade keeping you from truly knowing them.

What is your favorite fruit?
Raspberries are life.

Favorite snack food?
Anything that is wasabi flavored.
